It works fast (maybe about 2 minutes to boil a half filled kettle) and is simple, yet it doesn't have really any features. It simply has an on/off switch, and it will automatically turn itself off once it reaches boiling. Other kettles in this price range have options to set the temperature you would like or to keep the water warm once it has reached boiling. Another thing to note is that this kettle is VERY noisy. I thought I could bring it to work and set it on my desk, but I decided against that after hearing it. Since this is my first kettle, I'm not sure how it compares to others, just be forewarned that it isn't quiet. Overall, since I was mostly choosing this one for the look of it anyway and to get hot water, it serves its purpose. The Magenta color is great and it looks cool on my counter (although I will also note that the stainless does get pretty hot to the touch once boiling - not so hot that you can't touch it at all, you probably wouldn't want to touch it for more than a few seconds though). Not sure if it is worth the price based on the simplicity of the kettle - I think you are mainly paying for and mainly receiving a look and an okay brand.
