I have used this pot for several months and find the following:
1. FUNCTION. This pot is functional. By that I mean: It is large enough for me to serve four guests in my large glass mugs and have some tea left to serve. I had not found many attractive pots this size. I wanted one large pot figuring I can always fill it half way when less is needed. The spout is located high enough to allow a lot of water in the pot. This clear style blends well with all my serve ware, and easily lets me know how much is left so I can make more in a timely manner. The handle is as sturdy as it looks, heavy enough to support the pot full of tea with opening big enough for your hand to grasp securely. The lid and diffuser on mine fit perfectly. Personally I prefer to boil water to a hard boil in a whistling kettle because I can walk away and the sound alerts me. Also, I find stovetop heating in a glass pot is slower. It does not stain easily, and is easy to remove tea stains and to see when it is clean.
2. APPEARANCE. This pot is attractive. Repeatedly I have had unexpected rave compliments when serving guests using this tea pot. I had not expected specific positive reaction to a clear glass teapot. However, the clear glass really shows off what is inside. I have used the "tea flowers". I have added a piece of stick cinnamon to brew with the tea. My guests are right, it is fun to see what is brewing inside.
3. I ordered the clear glass warming stand. The glow from the candle shines attractively up through the glass pot.
