I spent a long time reading reviews for kettles before I chose one. I didn't want aluminum, and I needed a big one, and I didn't want some of the cheaper ones that had problems with leaking spouts or broken handles. The vendor - Plow and Hearth - has a good reputation so I chose this one.
It looks exactly like the photograph and it's perfect for my uses. I like the little flap that covers the spout, and the tight fitting lid, the fact that it's seamless so it won't spring a leak, and the secure handle that bends to the side for storage. I wasn't happy that it's made in China, but almost all of them are these days. I just wish the description had told me it was Chinese-made. What I really don't like is that the description says it has a "heavy gauge bottom" - it doesn't. The bottom is no thicker than the sides, and those are none too thick. I knocked off a star for this misleading description.
This is a nice kettle for $20, and being stainless it will clean up nicely and last for years.
